Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin deltoideo-.
Etymology: < scientific Latin deltoideo-, combining form (in e.g. deltoideo-lanceolatus (1740 or earlier)) of deltoideus deltoid adj.; compare -o- connective.
Combining form of modern Latin deltoīdeus adj., used to express ‘with deltoid tendency’, ‘deltoid and ——’, as deltoideo-lunate.
