Compare ancient Greek Ἀπαρύται (Herodotus), and perhaps classical Latin Abortae (Pliny; reading of modern editions, where earlier editions read Abaortae), both probably denoting the same people. Perhaps compare also Sanskrit āprītimāyu, the name of a place probably in the Pashto area.
