释义 | cliché-verren. A print produced using a handmade negative instead of a negative created with a camera; such prints collectively. Also: the process of making such prints. Often attributive.The cliché-verre negative is created when a transparent base, usually a glass plate, is coated with a liquid resist or ground which is then manually scraped away to produce an image which can be printed on light-sensitive paper in a darkroom.
