单词 chicket
释义

chicketadj.

Origin: Of unknown origin.
Etymology: Origin unknown.Perhaps compare earlier chick v.2 and -et suffix1; perhaps also compare chipper adj. A connection with the much later chic adj. or its French etymon appears unlikely on chronological grounds, and no formally and semantically similar adjective is attested in French. (The corresponding passage in the French original of quot. 1682 does not use a similar word.)
Obsolete (English regional (south-western) in later use).
Cheerful.
