(e.g. Americana n.), and slightly later in formations within English (e.g. Southeyana n., cricketana n.). For formations from bases ending in /ɪ/ or /iː/ (e.g. Rossettiana n.), see -iana suffix, formations in which are found from at least the late 17th cent.
