1912G. De Geer in Compt. Rend. XI Congr. Géol. Internat. 1910 I. 253 As to the first of the late-glacial sub-epochs, which properly may be called the Dani-glacial one, or that part of the last ice-recession when the ice-border retired from the extreme limit of the last glaciation past Denmark.., its duration is not yet known. 1923― Let. 3 Nov. in W. J. Sollas Anc. Hunters (1924) xiv. 662, I hope it will be possible to date not only the commencement of the Gothi-glacial sub-epoch but of the Dani-glacial as well, and thus to determine the whole time which has elapsed since the maximum of the last glaciation. 1927Peake & Fleure Hunters & Artists i. 6 The first of these lines has been called the Daniglacial moraine, and the second the Gothiglacial, while the space between the two is known as the area of the Daniglacial retreat, and that between the second line and a third to be described is termed the area of the Gothiglacial retreat. 1957J. K. Charlesworth Quaternary Era II. I. 1525 The Daniglacial recession alone may have lasted 10,000–15,000 years. 1960L. D. Stamp Britain's Struct.
