danaine, a. and n. Ent.|ˈdæneɪɪn| [ad. mod.L. Danainæ, f. generic name danais: see -ine1.] A. adj. Of or belonging to the subfamily Danainæ of the family Nymphalidæ of butterflies. B. n. A member of this subfamily.
