‖ Cursillo n.|kurˈsiʎo; kʊəˈsiːjəʊ, -ˈsiːljəʊ| [Sp., lit. ‘little course’ (see quot. 1964).] A short, evangelizing course of intensive religious study and exercise, organized mainly by lay people and orig. developed in Spain in 1949 to counteract an apparent decline in popular religious commitment.
