spongioblastoma Path.|ˌspʌndʒɪəʊblæˈstəʊmə| [ad. G. spongioblastom: see spongioblast s.v. spongio- and -oma.] A malignant tumour, usu. of the brain or optic nerve, believed to be derived from spongioblasts.
