‖ Spirillum Bacteriol.|spaɪəˈrɪləm| Pl. spirilla. [mod.L., dim. of L. spīra spire n.3] A genus or group of bacteria characterized by a spiral structure; any member of this genus, esp. the species found in the blood in relapsing fever.
