ˌcounter-disenˈgage, v. Fencing.
[ad. F. contre-dégager to disengage at the same time as the adversary.]
To disengage and make a thrust or lunge as the adversary changes the engagement.

Hence counter-disengage, -ment ns., the action of doing this; a disengagement on, or rather anticipating, the adversary's disengagement. Also, a riposte made by means of a disengagement.
