† conˈfluxion Obs. Also 6 confluction. [f. L. type *confluxiōn-em (cf. defluxio, diffluxio, influxio), n. of action from L. confluĕre to flow together. The primitive fluĕre had fluctiōn-em, f. fluct- archaic variant of flux-: thence the spelling confluction.] The action of flowing together.
