1. Sloth; slowness.
1482Monk of Evesham (Arb.) 78 By cause he fille fro the loue of god..vnto the coolde of worldly slowfulnes. 1525Ld. Berners Froiss. II. lxxx. [lxxvi.] 239 They be lytel worth, for we haue sene suche slowfulnes in them that we haue no grete trust to them. 1552Latimer Serm. Linc. ii. 71 What shall be their reward for their sloughfulnesse?
2. Ingratitude; thanklessness.
