compulsitor Sc. Law.|kəmˈpʌlsɪtə(r)| [app. a corruption of an earlier compulsator, Sc. for compulsatory: see -or, -ory. The i is etymologically indefensible.] That which compels; a compulsatory instrument, act, or proceeding.
