‖ compotier|kɔ̃pɔtje| Also 8–9 comporteer, -ier. [a. F. compotier, f. compote. The forms comportier, comporteer may be compared with comport (comport n.2), which is not, however, recorded until later.] = comport n.2; also, a dish for stewed fruit.
