quinella orig. U.S.|kwɪˈnɛlə| Also quinela, quiniela. [ad. Amer. Sp. quiniela in same sense.] A form of (usu. totalizator) betting in which the punter is required to select the first two place-getters in a race or other contest, not necessarily in the correct order.
