1591Lyly Endym. v. ii, O sir, your chinne is but a quyller yet, you will be most majesticall when it is full fledge. ▪ II. quiller, n.2|ˈkwɪlə(r)| [f. quill v. + -er1.] One who quills material, esp. into the form of a ruff.
