Simonite2|ˈsaɪmənaɪt| [f. the name of Sir John Allsebrook Simon (1873–1954), Liberal politician + -ite1.] A supporter of Sir John Simon; used spec. to designate a member of the Liberal National Party which seceded in 1931 from the official Liberal Party led by Sir Herbert Samuel.
