▪ I. shoder Gold-beating.|ˈʃəʊdə(r)| [ad. F. chauderet, chaudret.] The packet of skins into which the gold taken from the ‘cutch’ is placed and beaten out before its final beating in the ‘mould’. Hence ˈshodering vbl. n., in shodering-hammer.
