chevrotain, -in|ˈʃɛvrəʊteɪn, -tɪn| [a. F. chevrotin (-ain), dim. of OF. chevrot, itself orig. a dim. of chèvre she-goat.] The smaller species of Musk Deer, found in S.E. Asia and the adjacent islands.
