▪ I. seral, a.1 (and n.) Geol.|ˈsɪərəl| [f. L. sēr-us late + -al1: see quot.] a. adj. Used by H. D. Rogers to designate the Millstone Grit formation of the Pennsylvanian Coal-measures. b. absol. or n. Used as a name for this formation.
