Stormont|ˈstɔːmɒnt| The name of a suburb of Belfast, used to denote: (a) the administration presided over by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (the Northern Ireland Office), housed at Stormont Castle; (b) the Northern Ireland parliament which met at the Parliament House in the grounds of Stormont Castle from 1920 until its suspension in 1972.
