carrion crow

A species of Crow (Corvus Corone) smaller and more common than the Raven, and rather larger than the Rook, which feeds on carrion, small animals, poultry, etc. It is the ‘Crow’ of most parts of England, and the ‘Corbie’ of Scotland.
