pyritize, v.|ˈpaɪər-, ˈpɪrɪtaɪz| [f. pyrit-es + -ize.] trans. To convert into pyrites (as wood by replacement of the original substance by iron pyrites); to impregnate with pyrites. Hence ˈpyritized ppl. a.; also pyritiˈzation, conversion into pyrites.
