Canterburian, a. and n.|kæntəˈbjʊərɪən| [f. Canterbury + -an.] Of or pertaining to Canterbury, esp. to the archiepiscopal See; in the 17th c. taken as a representative of High Church Anglicanism. Hence Canterˈburianism. So † ˈCanterburiness, mock designation of the Archbishop of Canterbury or his dignity.
