1893S. L. Penfield in Amer. Jrnl. Sci. XLVI. 113 There can be no doubt that canfieldite and argyrodite have the same chemical composition. 1894― in Ibid. XLVII. 454 As the Freiberg argyrodite has been shown to be isometric, and the name canfieldite cannot therefore be applied to the germanium compound, it is proposed now to transfer the name to the new isomorphous tin compound. 1957Encycl. Brit. II. 340/1 Isomorphous with argyrodite is the corresponding tin compound Ag8SnS6, also found in Bolivia as cubic crystals, and known by the name canfieldite. |
