† ˈbouksome, a. Sc. Obs. rare. Also buksome, -sum, bulksome. [App. f. bouk + -some; but influenced in sense and partly in form by bulk; see buxom a.2] Corpulent, portly; occupying large space, bulky; fig. great, powerful, influential.
