‖ sapræmia|sæˈpriːmɪə| [mod.L., f. Gr. σαπρό-ς putrid + -αἷµα blood.] ‘Septic intoxication, or poisoning by means of septic or putrefactive organisms’ (Syd. Soc. Lex. 1897).
