1878Med. Times & Gaz. 12 Jan. 51/1 ‘Sanitas’. This fluid has been brought out as ‘the only true antiseptic and disinfectant combined’. 1897Syd. Soc. Lex., Sanitas,..name for a commercial preparation consisting of an aqueous solution of oxidised oil of turpentine, the active principle of which is peroxide of hydrogen. Used as an antiseptic. |
