sandveld (ˈsændvɛlt, ‖ ˈsæntfɛlt) Also sand veld, sand-veld, zandveld. [a. Afrikaans, f. sand sand n.2 + veld veldt, veld.] In southern Africa, (the name of) a region of light sandy soil.
