blithering, ppl. a. colloq.|ˈblɪðərɪŋ| [f. Blither v. + -ing2.] Senselessly discursive or talkative, babbling; esp. of a person, used chiefly as an intensive adjective, with the meaning ‘consummate’ (freq. in blithering idiot); also more widely = despicable, contemptible.
