Samaj|səˈmɑːdʒ| Also Somaj. [a. Hindi and Bengali samāj society, f. Skr. samāja a meeting with, f. sam together + aj to drive.] An assembly or congregation in India; a church or religious body, as in Brahmo Samaj (see Brahmoism).
