Applied attrib. to the hair-style or other characteristics of ‘The Beatles’ or of their imitators. Also, Beatleˈmania [-mania], addiction to the Beatles and their characteristics; the frenzied behaviour of their admirers. Hence other nonce-formations (see quots.).
