Baphomet|ˈbæfəʊmɛt| [a. F. Baphomet; cf. Pr. Bafomet, OSp. Mafomat.] a. A form of the name Mahomet used by mediæval writers. b. Alleged name of the idol which the Templars were accused of worshipping.
