rooikrans S. Afr.|ˈrɔɪkrans| Also rooikran(t)z. [Afrikaans, f. rooi red + krans wreath, in allusion to the red aril of the seed.] A yellow-flowered shrub, Acacia cyclops, of the family Leguminosæ, native to Western Australia, and naturalized in southern Africa, where it is also called the golden willow.
