Balt, n. and a.|bɔːlt| [ad. late L. (Jordanes) Balthæ.] A. n. A native or inhabitant of one of the Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia; spec. a German inhabitant of any of these states (see quot. 1937). B. adj. Of or pertaining to (a person from one of) these states.
