In theatre, children's and adult education, psychotherapy, etc.: the acting out of a given situation by two or more people as a means for the participants to learn more about the attitudes and interactions of the characters adopted; the adoption of a particular role, esp. in such a situation or recreationally. Also: an instance of this; a scenario enacted in this way or for this purpose. More generally: the adoption or enactment of a role.
