microfiche|ˈmaɪkrəʊfiːʃ| Pl. microfiche, -fiches. [f. micro- 7 + F. fiche slip of paper, index-card.] A flat piece of film, usually the size of a standard catalogue card, containing microphotographs of the pages of a book, periodical, etc. Also shortened to fiche.
