Ritter's disease Med.|ˈrɪtəz| [Named after Gottfried Ritter von Rittershain (1820–83), Bohemian physician, who first described it as a distinct entity in 1878 (Central-Zeitung f. Kinderheilkunde II. 3–23).] A sometimes fatal form of dermatitis affecting newborn infants.
