Rig-veda|rɪgˈveɪdə| Also 8 Reig Beid, 8–9 Rigvéda, 9– Rgveda. [Skr. ṛigveda, f. ṛic praise + veda knowledge: see Veda.] The principal of the Vedas or sacred books of the Hindus.
