Atellan, a. and n.|əˈtɛlən| Also Att-. [ad. L. Atellānus, f. Atella, a town in Campania.] A. adj. Of or pertaining to Atella, which was famous for its popular satirical and, in later times, licentious farces; hence, farcical, ribald.
