ˌpre-ˈconqueror, a. [pre- B. 2.] Anterior to (William) the Conqueror. So ˌpre-ˈconquest a., preceding the (Norman) Conquest; ˌpre-conˈquestal, -conˈquestual a. [pre- B. 1] existing in, or belonging to, times preceding the Conquest.
