1696Phillips, Arcuation, the bending of the bones. 1751Chambers Cycl., Arcuation is used, by some writers in surgery, for an incurvation of the bones. 1880in Syd. Soc. Lex. 2. Hort. A method of raising trees, by bending down twigs and pegging them into the ground, so that they take new root independent of the parent stock. ? Obs.
