phallotoxin Chem.|fæləʊˈtɒksɪn| [f. mod.L. phallo-ides (see phalloidin) + toxin.] Any of several closely related poisonous peptides present in the death cap toadstool, Amanita phalloides, all of which have the same ring structure of seven amino-acids bridged by a sulphur atom.
