‖ persiennes, n. pl. (pɜːʃɪˈɛnz, ‖ pɛrsjɛn) [Fr., pl. fem. of adj. persien Persian.] Outside window-shutters or blinds, made of light laths horizontally fastened in a frame, so as to be movable, like those of Venetian blinds.
