resorb, v.|rɪˈsɔːb| [ad. L. resorbēre, f. re- re- + sorbēre to drink in. Cf. F. résorber, Sp. and Pg. resorber, It. risorbire.] To absorb again; esp. in Physiol., to absorb into the circulation (material already in the body, esp. material that has been digested or broken down).
