paralactic, a. Chem.|pærəˈlæktɪk| [para-1 2 a.] In paralactic acid, an isomeric modification of ordinary lactic acid, one of the two constituents of sarcolactic acid, existing in the animal organism, especially in muscular flesh. Its salts are paraˈlactates.
