Panathenaic, a. (n.)|pænæθiːˈneɪɪk| [ad. Gr. παναθηναϊκ-ός, f. παναθήναια: see prec.] Of or pertaining to the Panathenæa. Panathenaic frieze, a frieze, designed by Phidias, representing the procession at the festival, which surrounded the exterior of the cella at the Parthenon.
