Pacchionian, a. Anat.|pækɪˈəʊnɪən| [f. the name of the Italian anatomist Pacchioni (1665–1726) + -an.] Of or described by Pacchioni. Pacchionian body, Pacchionian corpuscle, Pacchionian gland, Pacchionian granulation, one of the granular enlargements or outgrowths of the arachnoid membrane of the brain in the neighbourhood of the longitudinal sinus; P. depression, Pacchionian fossa, Pacchionian line, a depression on the inner surface of the skull for the reception of the Pacchionian bodies.
