† oxymuriate Chem. Obs.|ɒksɪˈmjʊərɪət| [f. next: see -ate1 1 c.] A salt of ‘oxymuriatic acid’: applied formerly to compounds now called either chlorates or chlorides, as oxymuriate of mercury, oxymuriate of tin, = mercuric and stannic chloride, oxymuriate of potash = potassium chlorate.
